Latest from Galloway CoHousing

We have now held several successful open meetings in Castle Douglas followed by convivial bring and share lunches. We also had two lovely people from Tripod (see links page) come to lead a very interesting workshop on Consensus Decision Making & Facilitation. Our task groups on Legal Structures and Presentations are working away. We plan a site visit to the recently completed Lancaster Cohousing group at the end of May. The next meeting will be a combined AGM and general meeting to which all Friends of Galloway CoHousing are invited. It will be held on Saturday April 13th at the Community Centre, Cotton Street, CASTLE DOUGLAS, 10.30 for 11AM start until 2.00PM. Meeting will be followed by a bring and share lunch as usual. Our community is growing and new friends are always welcome.

Open Meetings

We have held two open meetings in Castle Douglas recently and there are now approximately fourteen Friends of Galloway Cohousing. Our open meetings will be regular events where anyone is welcome to come along to meet us and find out more. They are usually a mix of informal discussion and a bring and share lunch. At future meetings we may invite speakers to talk about various matters related to Cohousing. The next Open meeting will be on Saturday 3rd November at Castle Douglas Community Centre on Cotton Street from 11AM until 1.30PM. If you would like to find out anything more about the group, please go to 'contact’ and send us a message.
